Sorenson signs with Michigan State (Hockey)

November 17, 2010

When Anchorage’s Tanner Sorenson enrolled at hockey school Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Minnesota he expected to play at the next level. It wasn’t a matter of if, but where. Sorenson answered that question by signing his letter of intent with CCHA power Michigan State, the 2007 NCAA champion. Sorenson, the son of UAA great Dennis, is a sniper just like his old man, netting 29 goals and 29 assists last season. “He’s a well-rounded player,” his coach told the Faribault Daily News. “He plays fast and can really skate. He handles the puck. He’s turning into a real leader here.”
