After a slow start, Will Egolf of Haines is starting to come around for Bradley University.

The 6-foot-9 junior forward pumped in a season-high 14 points against Indiana State in an 80-66 loss during Missouri Valley Conference action.

Egolf, of Juneau-Douglas High fame, matched his season-high with 5 field goals and added a 4-for-4 clip at the charity stripe. He also ripped down 5 rebounds, his season average.

The Alaska big man has been at his best in the last four games, upping his scoring average from 6.5 in the first eight games to 11 points in this recent stretch.

On the season, he is averaging 8 points through 12 games.

Egolf has been in double figures only four times, however, three have come this month alone.

A big part of his success can be linked to his ability to stay on the court.

A bit foul prone, Egolf hasn’t fouled out since Dec. 4. That’s good news for a guy who earlier this season had fouled out four times in a five-game stretch, including a quick showing against TCU when he was gone in just 13 minutes.
