27 points a career high for DBH (Basketball)

Hydaburg’s Damen Bell-Holter bettered his career high for the third time this season with a 27-point effort against Akron.
Unfortunately, though, his breakout performance couldn’t help Oral Roberts University win.
The Golden Eagles committed a season-high 24 turnovers en route to an 84-80 loss, despite shooting 59 percent from the field including a 90-percent clip by the 6-foot-10 center from Alaska.
Bell-Holter, of Ketchikan High fame, sank 9 of 10 shots from the field and 8 of 9 from the foul line.
He bagged 21 points in the second half when he single handedly tried to rally Oral Roberts from a 15-point deficit on a night when the team played without leading scorer Dominique Morrison because of a knee injury.
The sophomore opened the half with a three-pointer, a pair of free throws and consecutive layups, the last one moving ORU to within 51-48 with 16:22 to go.
His previous career high was 20 points.
