Cavanaugh gets PR in 400 medley (Swimming)

One of the best butterfly swimmers at Northwestern University helped the women’s 400-meter relay team achieve greatness this weekend.

During a Big Ten double dual meet that also included Notre Dame and Michigan, Meghan Cavanaugh of Anchorage helped Northwestern finish second in the relay with a season-best time of 3 minutes, 45.34 seconds.

The junior also finished fourth in the 100 fly in 56.48.

Cavanaugh, of East High fame, has season bests of 56.14 in the 100 fly and 2:02.80 in the 200 fly, both ranking No. 2 at the school.
