Down three points at crunch time, Illinois State University turned to sophomore guard Anthony Cousin of Anchorage.

He delivered.

Cousin’s free throws at the end of regulation forced overtime, where ISU beat Drake University 77-75 to remain red hot in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Trailing 69-66 with seven seconds left, Cousin sank consecutive foul shots to give the Redbirds their third straight MVC win after an 8-0 conference start.

Cousin, of South High fame, started, played 27 minutes and collected 5 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds.

For the season she has started 15 of 22 games and is averaging 7 points and shooting 78 percent from the free-throw line.
