January 19, 2011

The West boys and Wasilla girls remained the No. 1-ranked Class 4A high school basketball teams in the second Alaska Association of Basketball Coaches Poll of the season, released today.

West’s week was highlighted by a 77-68 victory over Princeton Day Academy of Maryland during the Alaska Airlines Classic.

The rest of the 4A boys poll stayed intact, except for No. 3 Wasilla and No. 4 Service switching places.

On the girls side, undefeated Wasilla maintained the top spot over the usual suspects – No. 2 Juneau, No. 3 Dimond, No. 4 Colony and No. 5 North Pole.
