Winford back in double figures (Basketball)
Anchorage’s Kevin Winford returned to a place he hasn’t visited much since the beginning of the college basketball season.
He got back to double figures for only the third time in the last seven games.
The 5-foot-11 sophomore guard with Eastern Washington University bagged 14 points in 31 minutes during today’s 71-59 loss at Montana State in Big Sky Conference action.
The 14 points was his career average in three games against the Bobcats.
Winford, of Bartlett High fame, was just 5 for 13 shooting the ball from the floor, including 4-of-10 from deep.
The former Alaska player of the year has now hit a 3-pointer in 30 of his last 31 games at EWU.
