Anthony Cousins

For the second time this season, Illinois State University’s Anthony Cousin of Anchorage earned bragging rights over Bradley University’s Will Egolf of Haines.

The two former Alaska all-state players squared off in the Missouri Valley Conference again tonight, and just like the first time it was a one-point thriller.

Illinois State won 51-50, snapping a six-game losing streak.

Cousin, of South High fame, came off the bench to play 16 minutes. The 5-foot-11 guard missed both shots from the field but he did have 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Bradley Braves

Egolf, of Juneau-Douglas fame, started and logged 31 minutes and scored 8 points on 3-of-7 shooting.

The 6-foot-9 forward also had 6 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 blocked shot.
