Langdon wins 3-point contest (Basketball)
March 27, 2011
The more things change the more they stay the same.
Soon-to-be 35-year-old guard Trajan Langdon started the Russian League All-Star game again and won the 3-point shooting contest once more.
Langdon, of East High fame, beat nine of the league’s best bombers to win the shooting contest.
In the All-Star game he helped fuel a 20-2 run to begin the third quarter, pulling his team within 96-95 entering the fourth quarter.
The game is split between Russian all-stars and foreign all-stars.
Down the stretch the locals pulled away for a 141-120 victory.
The consummate team player, Langdon isn’t built for the me-first mentality of an All-Star game. Yet he’s tailor-made for winning shooting contests, something he’s done at every level of his career.
