Perkins goes for triple-double (Basketball)

Doron Perkins has been saying it along.
Play him more and he would produce at a world-class level. His requests didn’t fall on deaf ears, and now Israeli power Maccabi Tel Aviv is one of the top teams in Europe.
The Anchorage point guard has led his team to 13 straight victories and first place in the Israeli League.
Last time out the 6-foot-2 was sensational in delivering a triple-double with 11 assists, 10 rebounds and 10 points in a 41-point win over the league’s second-place team. His assist and rebound totals were season highs.
Perkins, of Bartlett High fame, is averaging 14.1 points in 20 league games. His season high is 28.
Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Alaskan are also in the Euroleague quarterfinals, beginning March 22 against Spanish power Caja Laboral featuring Brad Oleson of North Pole.
