Despite owning a 2-0 series lead, MiZo Pecs and Eagle River’s Kelsey Griffin couldn’t capitalize on the stranglehold in the Hungarian League Finals.

Upstart MKB Euroleasing won the final three games, capped with an 83-79 OT road win in the decisive Game 5, to clinch the title and deny the regular-season champs.

Griffin, of Chugiak High fame, delivered 22 points and 8 rebounds.

The 6-foot-2 starting center and WNBA player sank 8 of 11 field goals and 6 of 6 foul shots.

Griffin averaged 12.6 points and 5.8 rebounds in the series, highlighted by a 24-point performance in a Game 2 win.
