Griffin’s 24 keys Game 2 win (Basketball)
April 14, 2011

After leaving Game 1 of the Hungarian League Finals with a reported injury, Eagle River’s Kelsey Griffin returned for Game 2.
And this time she put a hurtin’ on her opponent.
Griffin pumped in 24 points to lead the way for MiZo Pecs in a 78-68 victory over MKB Euroleasing, allowing the regular-season champions to take a 2-0 stranglehold in the best-of-5 series.
The 6-foot-2 WNBA All-Rookie forward connected on 8 of 12 field goals and 7 of 8 free throws. She also made the only 3-pointer she attempted.
Griffin, of Chugiak High fame, finished with a team-high 7 rebounds.
Her 24 points was two shy of her season high. It was the fifth time she surpassed the 20-point mark in 23 Hungarian League games.
She is averaging 14.2 points and 5.7 rebounds.
