Miller 11th in steeplechase prelim (Track)
University of Washington sophomore Michael Miller Jr. of Anchorage made his debut at the NCAA Championships on the second day of West Region action in Eugene, Ore.
Miller, of ACS fame, placed 11th in the second head of the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:14.58.
He qualifed with a time of 8:57.32.
Miller is among a handful of Alaskans competing on college track’s biggest stage.
