Anchorage’s Corey Madden picked up his first career win at the Triple-A level last night with the New Orleans Zephyrs in a wild and crazy game that featured 25 runs and 40 hits.

Madden threw 1.1 innings of shutout relief and benefitted from a seven-run ninth inning by the Zephyrs, who overcame an 11-7 deficit with the outburst to help the right-hander get off the schnide.

The win comes two days after he suffered his first loss.

Madden, of East High fame, improved to 1-1 with a 1.17 ERA in five games. He’s got nine strikeouts in 7.2 innings this season.
