He’s closed out games at every level of his baseball career, but tonight was the first time Corey Madden of Anchorage did it at the Triple-A level.

The 27-year-old reliever for the New Orleans Zephyrs got the final two outs in a wild 7-5 victory over Round Rock after his manager got ejected in the ninth inning.

It was his first save opportunity in 13 appearances this year with the Zephyrs, a Florida Marlins affiliate.

Madden, of East High fame, is 1-1 with a 3.32 ERA in 19 innings.

It was his 13th career save since turning pro in 2006.
