Miles, Bemidji State win opener (Football)

Alaska tailback Brandon Miles was the main workhorse in Bemidji State University’s 27-0 victory over Minot State in the first game of the season.
The 5-foot-10, 192-pound senior carried the ball 17 times for 27 yards. He also caught two passes for eight yards and added a tackle on special teams.
Miles, of Kenai High fame, has amassed 1,059 yards and seven touchdowns in his career at the NCAA D2 college in Minnesota.
