Alaskans on No. 1-ranked team lose (Football)

Defending NAIA national champion Carroll College suffered its first loss of the season, falling to unranked and visiting Eastern Oregon 44-31 in Helena, Mont.

The team features three Alaskans with championship rings, including starting defensive end Noah McWilliams of Homer.

McWilliams, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound junior, registered six tackles in the loss. Half of his tackles were solo.

He has nine tackles and a sack this season. In 15 career games he has compiled 57 tackles.

The other Alaskans on the Carroll College roster are junior offensive lineman Mike Bruce of Ketchikan and freshman defensive tackle Dalton Riggs of Anchorage.
