Kelter finds net for third time (Soccer)
It was raining and the wind was howling, yet Alev Kelter of Eagle River still provided a beautiful moment for the University of Wisconsin women’s soccer team.
The All-Big Ten midfielder delivered the equalizing goal in the 62nd minute to help the Badgers rally from a two-goal deficit and salvage a 2-2 draw with the University of Minnesota.
Kelter, of Chugiak High fame, beat the keeper from 25 yards out after her shot deflected off a Minnesota defender.
The goal was her third in 11 games this season.
She ranks third on the team with seven points.
Wisconsin ran its unbeaten streak to four games and improved to 7-3-2 overall.
