Carver collects first assist of season (Soccer)

Normally a finisher, Soldotna striker Blaine Carver of the Seattle Pacific University men’s soccer team showed that he can share the ball too.

The sophomore collected his first assist of the season yesterday in a 5-0 win over the University of Mary in NCAA D2 action in Seattle.

Carver earned a helper on the fourth goal of the game, coming in the 60th minute. He now has 2 goals and 5 points in 10 games this season.

The Alaska player has scored 10 goals in his career, including 8 last season en route to being named GNAC Freshman of the Year.
