Dunbar third at WCC Championships (Running)
October 30, 2011

Kodiak’s Trevor Dunbar of the University of Portland cross country team placed third at the West Coast Conference Championships in Belmont, Calif.
Dunbar, a junior, clocked an 8K time of 23:51 to earn all-conference honors. His time would have beaten the previous course record of 24:20.
Now the record belongs to BYU’s Miles Batty, who won in 23:47.
It wasn’t all good for Dunbar, though.
Portland’s streak of 32 consecutive league titles came to an end, losing to WCC newcomer BYU.
