Alaska’s Michaela Hutchison and the Oklahoma City University women’s wrestling team extended their 73-match unbeaten streak after capturing a fifth consecutive NWCA National Duals title.

The Stars – a fitting name, don’t ya think? – won the championship with a 25-14 victory over King College in Springfield, Ill. OCU has won 57 straight matches and improved to 72-0-1 in its last 73.

Hutchison, of Skyview High fame, gave OCU a 10-7 after the 123-pound match. She defeated Sarah Hildebrandt 1-0, 4-3.

Hutchison is a two-time national champion and three-time finalist in the Women’s College Wrestling Association. She will shoot for a third title later this month.
