Already the national champion in the shot put, Anchorage’s Jordan Clarke is looking to add another title in a different event.

The Arizona State University junior today won the hammer throw at the ASU Invitational when he uncorked a career-best throw of 212-11, 7 feet further than the next closest dude.

He PR’d on his final of six throws.

Clarke, of Bartlett High fame, qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary round in the shot put, discus and hammer throw events last year. His previous career best in the hammer was 203-5 at the 2011 UCSD Triton Invitational.

He was also third in the discus at 183-11. He got that mark on his first throw and then fouled on his next four attempts.
