DBH bummed over NCAA snub [Basketball]

After winning 27 of 32 games, the Oral Roberts University men’s basketball team was rewarded with a slap in the face.

The NCAA Selection Committee bypassed the Golden Eagles and Alaska’s Damen Bell-Holter today as the March Madness 68-team field was announced. They were reportedly the first team left out.

“It’s pretty disappointing,” Bell-Holter told me. “We were getting mad love from all the ESPN people these last few days. We had a better resume than a ton of those schools and especially the last few teams got in.”

Like, maybe, Xavier, which lost to Oral Roberts.

As a consolation prize, Oral Roberts will host Nevada in the NIT on Wednesday.
