Todd PRs in pentathlon, long jump [Track]
University of Colorado-Colorado Springs freshman Jessica Todd of Anchorage set a personal best in the pentathlon, scoring 2,942 points at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships.
During the competition she also broke the school record in the long jump with a new best of 5.22 meters.
Todd, of Dimond High fame, also played a vital part in helping the 4×400 relay team also set a school record in 4:00.76.
She was on the team with Kim Fitzgerald of Fairbanks.
This was an especially remarkable performance considering there was not a 400 specialist on the team. Urban and Fitzgerald both compete in the middle distance events and Todd and Weeks are both multi-event athletes.
