Alaska’s Brad Oleson is used to carrying a team to victory. Just ask the UAF Nanooks.
He was at it again last night for Spanish power Caja Laboral, pumping in 17 points to highlight an 82-79 victory over Real Madrid in Game 3 of the league playoffs.
The win allowed Caja Laboral to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-5 series.
Oleson, of North Pole fame, connected on 5-of-7 shots from the floor and 5-of-6 from the foul line in 36 minutes.
He added 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists.
Oleson was the game’s No. 2 scorer, with top honors going to former NBA guard Sergio Rodriguez [19 points] of Real Madrid. The team also features former NCAA Final Four MVP Kyle Singler of Duke fame [who had 10 off the bench].
