The Illinois State University men’s basketball team doesn’t have much depth at the guard position.

But it does have Anthony Cousin of Anchorage.

The 5-foot-11 junior will be one of the players that new head coach Dan Muller is expected to lean on for significant minutes this season.

The coach told Andy Katz of ESPN that he will use the former South High state champion at shooting guard, even though Cousin was more of a combo guard last season.

“He’s not a true point guard, but he’s a good player,” Muller said.
