Way throws second shutout of season [Baseball]

He battled early and was brilliant late.
At the end Laredo Lemurs starting pitcher Matt Way of Sitka had crafted his second masterpiece of the season in a 5-0 over Grand Prairie in independent pro ball in Texas.
It was his second shutout in 10 starts this season.
“The difference between the two outings was that this time I had to grind my way through and make adjustments for the first four innings,” Way told me. “Last time I cruised right through.”
Way allowed 6 hits and 2 walks to go with 6 Ks.
Grand Prairie is the No. 1 team in the league.
The southpaw was sharp in the final three innings, when he struck out five batters looking.
He is 5-3 with a 2.64 ERA in 11 games.
“The success is great, but honestly I expect it for myself,” Way said. “Having a great outing is always motivating but I can’t hang my hat on it. I need to keep putting together quality outings. That’s what I’m shooting for.”
