Way struggles but wins nonetheless [Baseball]
July 24, 2012

He didn’t have his best stuff, but it almost didn’t matter.
Sitka southpaw Matt Way tonight benefited from excellent run support as the Laredo Lemurs won 16-6 in independent pro ball in Texas.
Way lasted just 5 innings, allowing 8 hits and 6 runs. It was still good enough to get his seventh win in 13 starts this season.
He is 7-4 with a 3.28 ERA in 82.1 innings.
Way has won three out of his last four starts, going the distance in two of those outings and striking out 12 in another.
