Alaska striker Blaine Carver continued his torrid scoring streak for No. 5 Seattle Pacific University, netting his third goal in three games.

The latest was the best of the bunch.

Carver, of Soldotna High fame, found the net in the third minute of OT to supply a 1-0 win over Dixie State.

The junior forward scored on a short shot near the right post, taking a diagonal pass and beating a diving keeper to the spot.

“It was a good little passing sequence, some great movement off the ball and a great finish by Blaine, who’s on a nice little run,” coach Mark Collings told the school’s website.

The goal was the second game winner this year for Carver.
