Oleson scores 19 in preseason win [Basketball]
It’s only the preseason, but anyone who knows North Pole’s Brad Oleson knows he doesn’t do anything halfway.
The 6-foot-3 starting guard pumped in a game-high 19 points to lead Spanish power Caja Laboral to an 83-56 victory over Clavijo.
Oleson, of UAF fame, averaged 11 points a game last season and ranked No. 2 in the entire Spanish League in 3-point accuracy [46 percent].
Armed with a no-fear mentality, he is one of the most competitive people you will ever meet on a basketball court. He won’t back down no matter what the situation.
It’s like he can’t turn it off, which makes Oleson dangerous every game no matter what the circumstances.
It could be the Euroleague, a scrimmage or just practice.
Earlier this week he was named an all-star after performing well during a preseason tournament.
