Vealy scores TD in season opener [Football]

Presentation College running back Will Vealy of Fairbanks didn’t take long to score his first touchdown of the season.

The sophomore scampered 29 yards on a catch-and-run pass play in the third quarter to help the Saints beat Haskell 26-13 in the NCAA D3 opener for both teams.

Vealy, of West Valley High fame, finished with four receptions for 47 yards. He also ran the ball 16 times for 73 yards.

Presentation College is a second-year program.

Last year, Vealy amassed 566 yards and 2 TDs on the ground and 331 yards and 4 TDs through the air.

He is among 19 Alaskans playing football for Presentation College this fall.
