Alaska’s Trevor Dunbar today paced the University of Oregon to a third-place finish by taking third at the Pac-12 cross country championship on a windy at Robinson Ranch Golf Course in Santa Clarita, Calif.

Dunbar, of Kodiak High fame, crossed the line in 23:28.

Second-ranked Colorado successfully defended its Pac-12 title with 49 points. No. 3 Stanford was second with 82, followed by Oregon in third with 105.

“The men did exactly what they needed to do today to keep moving toward the NCAA Championships,” coach Robert Johnson told the school’s website. “Trevor was right there up front the entire race and we also had some younger runners step up for us today.”
