Finally focused on just one sport, Eagle River’s Alev Kelter is off to a terrific start with the University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team.

The senior defenseman netted her first career hat trick in last night’s 9-1 win over Lindenwood in Wentzville, Mo.

Kelter, of Chugiak High fame, scored goals in each period and added an assist for a career-best four-point night.

The former Wisconsin soccer player has four goals in four games on the ice this season, giving her 6-18—24 totals in 78 career games.
