Bookert fitting in fine at Florida State [Basketball]
True freshman Devon Bookert of Anchorage was shut out for the first time in his brief college basketball career.
But it’s hardly like the sky is falling.
In fact, sky’s the limit for this promising point guard.
Bookert, of West High fame, has flourished in the Florida State backcourt as part of the second unit with a 15-6 assist-to-turnover ratio.
In his first six games he’s averaging 4.0 points and 2.5 assists in 13.8 minutes.
Against North Florida, he dished out a team-high four assists on a night when the rest of team combined for only four.
Against BYU, under the New York lights, he pumped in a season-high 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
