For the second year in a row, there will be some local flavor in the NCAA women’s soccer national championship game.

Anchorage’s Amanda Dotten and Penn State reached the College Cup final with a 2-1 OT victory over Florida State in the national semifinals in San Diego.

Dotten, of Service High fame, is a senior midfielder that has played in 11 career matches over the last two seasons.

A year ago, Kelly Cobb of Eagle River and Duke lost in the national championship game.

Penn State will take on the winner of Stanford and North Carolina in Sunday’s title tilt. It will be televised live at noon on ESPNU.
