Oleson earns ‘Dunk of the Night’ [Basketball]

November 26, 2012

He was the second-best 3-point shooter in the Spanish League last season but don’t kid yourself, Brad Oleson of North Pole is way more than just a shooter.

He can defend. He can pass.

And if you’re not careful, the 6-foot-3 guard will dunk on you.

Oleson, of UAF fame, recently won the Euroleague’s Dunk of the Night by showcasing the hops that made him a leaping legend in the Fairbanks area.

He is averaging a career-best 9.4 points in the Euroleague, which is a super league comprised of the very best teams in Europe. The talent level is on par with the NBA.

Oleson has reached double digits four times in seven games, hitting a season-high 13 three times.

Thursday’s matchup against Italy’s Emporio Armani will be his 50th career game in the Euroleague, the second most appearances by a player from Alaska.
