Wilson logs career high minutes [Basketball]
November 20, 2012
One day after getting stung by a buzzer beater, the Marquette University men’s basketball team got back on track thanks to the steadiness of Derrick Wilson of Anchorage.
The sophomore guard played a career-high 21 minutes during an 89-62 win over Mississippi State during the second day of the Maui Invitational.
Wilson, of East High fame, scored two points and had two steals.
More importantly, he helped the Eagles hold Mississippi State to 38 percent shooting. The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder is a beast on the perimeter.
