Kate Ferrin

After finishing her career at Chapman University as one of the greatest volleyball players in school history, Kate Ferrin of Anchorage will focus on the next chapter of her life.

She wrote a story about her transition for the school newspaper. Read it here.

Ferrin, of Grace Christian fame, is No. 3 in Chapman history with 1,026 career kills. As a senior she finished with a career-high .538 hitting percentage. She was a two-time All-American and a holds three school records.

“It’s been a long career for me, but I have been so blessed along the way,” she told me. “I truly found something that I love in life and not everyone can say that. Of course it’s hard knowing it’s over, but all I can do now is find something else in life that I am just as passionate about.”
