Griffin named Player of the Week [Basketball]

Kelsey Griffin of Eagle River has produced other double-double performances, yet this one was different.
This one earned her australiabasket.com Player of the Week honors.
The 6-foot-2 forward for Bendigo Spirit had 18 points and 11 rebounds in 24 minutes in a 98-68 WNBL win over Logan T.
Griffin, of Chugiak High fame, has won seven of eight games since joining her new team following the WNBA season with the Connecticut Sun. Bendigo sits atop the league at 13-2.
She ranks fifth in scoring [17.1] and third in rebounds [8.3] in Australia.
