Johnson flirts with triple-double [Basketball]
It was the greatest performance of her college career, yet Alaska’s Jenna Johnson could care less.
Utah State lost the game.
Despite the senior guard having the game of her life, the Aggies dropped a 71-65 decision to Montana State.
Johnson, of Wasilla High fame, scored a career-high 20 points, grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds and made a career-high 8 steals.
“I was working hard to say the least,” she told me.
Johnson hauled in four offensive rebounds and went to the foul line 10 times, going 80 percent.
Still, she wasn’t celebrating.
“It doesn’t matter how well I played if we lose,” she said. “A loss is a loss and you need more than one player to make a win happen.”
