Oleson near perfect in Euroleague [Basketball]
North Pole’s Brad Oleson today played a near flawless game in the Euroleague.
In fact, statistically it was his finest performance in 53 career Euroleague games dating back to 2009.
Oleson earned a career-best player index rating of 23 for Caja Laboral of Spain in an 82-74 victory over Greece power Olympiacos; by comparison his season rating is 7.3.
The 6-foot-3 starting guard scored 15 points on 3-of-4 field goals and 8-of-9 free throws. He added three assists, two steals, two rebounds and one blocked shot. He made just one turnover.
The two steals were a career high in the Euroleague and his point total was one shy of his career high.
Oleson, of UAF fame, was already enjoying his best season in four years in the Euroleague. He is averaging a career-best 9.0 points and is on pace to do the same in assists, steals and blocked shots.
He also ranks in the top 20 in 3-point shooting at 47 percent.
