The Army women’s basketball team is off to its best start in six years, and let’s face it, Anna Simmers of Anchorage is the biggest reason why.

The senior guard today spearheaded the team’s 63-59 victory over Morgan State in Baltimore, lifting the Black Knights to 11-4.

Simmers, of ACS fame, bagged 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting, her team-best fifth game with 20 or more.

She also had a career-high six assists to go along with five rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot.
