One of the premier shooters in The Master’s men’s basketball history, Leif Karlberg of Anchorage isn’t probably known for his defense.

However, the two-guard is a terrific two-way player.

In addition to being one of the school’s greatest 3-point shooters, the former Alaska player of the year also ranks among the all-time greats in steals.

The 6-foot-1 senior snared a career-high five steals to go with 16 points, five rebounds and two assists in an 85-75 win over San Diego Christian, helping The Master’s snap a three-game losing streak.

Karlberg, of Grace Christian fame, sank 5-of-12 3s.

He ranks No. 2 on the school’s career list in 3-point buckets [319] and No. 6 in career steals [168].
