Anchorage’s Michael Miller Jr. of the University of Washington track team hopes a strong indoor finale will lead to an outstanding outdoor season. The senior runner had a major PR in the 800 meters at the final indoor meet in Seattle by clocking a 1:49.61, the fourth fastest in school history. His previous PR was 1:51.10.

Miller, of ACS fame, was the top steeplechaser for the Huskies last season. This fall he finished his cross country career by competing for the third time at the Pac-12 Championships, where he placed a career-best 42nd as his team’s No. 6 runner.
