Handcuffed by rules that limit his playing time, Barcelona newcomer Brad Oleson of North Pole finally got some room to roam against Cajasol in the Spanish League.

The 6-foot-3 starting guard pumped in 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting in a 91-72 victory. He made four 3-pointers for only the second time in 26 domestic league games.

Oleson, of UAF fame, was traded to Barcelona from Spanish rival Caja Laboral earlier this season. Both clubs also play in the prestigious Euroleague, but because he played for Caja Laboral league rules prevent Oleson from playing for Barcelona in the Euroleague.

As a result, he plays half the games as his teammates. Or about once a week.

He has played in seven games with Barcelona, averaging 7.9 points on 48 percent shooting. It took him only two games to earn a starting job.

He has twice scored 16 points. That was also his season high with Caja Laboral, where he averaged 10.2 points in 19 games before the trade.
