Baker wins third straight decision [Baseball]
June 28, 2013
It looks like Dylan Baker of Juneau has it figured out – at least for now.
Let’s hope they’ve noticed in Cleveland.
Baker, a fifth-round draft pick a year ago, has won his last three starts for the Class A Lake County Captains of the Cleveland Indians farm system.
The 21-year-old righty is 3-0 with a 0.93 ERA since June 12.
Baker, of Juneau-Douglas High fame, pitched 5.2 innings in a 6-3 win over Bowling Green. He didn’t allow an earned run until the fifth inning, snapping his career-high 19-inning scoreless inning streak.
The former JC All-American is 4-5 with a 4.01 ERA in 13 starts this season.
