September 21, 2013
Alaska has plenty of women playing NCAA D1 soccer, but not many men.
Dylan Faber of Anchorage is one of the few.
The 6-foot sophomore is the starting goalkeeper at Northeastern University and one of the top keepers in the Colonial Athletic Association.
Faber, of West High fame, leads the CAA in saves [23] and shutouts [2] while ranking second in save percentage [.793] and third in goals against average [0.93].
Earlier this season he tied a career high with six saves against Duke University.
Faber played two seasons at West before leaving Alaska for the Darlington School Soccer Academy in Georgia.
