Mattson jacks up 14 shots for University of Portland in exhibition win

If first impressions are any indication, Hannah Mattson of Fairbanks will have the green light to shoot the ball this season.
The University of Portland freshman guard came off the bench to jack up 14 shots, the most of any player from either team, in an 81-47 exhibition win over Concordia.
Mattson, of West Valley High fame, finished 3-for-14 and scored seven points in playing a team-high 23 minutes.
The 5-foot-9 playmaker showed a nose for the ball, collecting nine rebounds, including three on the offensive end, to go with two assists and one steal.
