Toomey earns All-MIAC honors at punter, led league in hang time

Griffin Toomey FootballThe season started with him beating out a fellow freshman for primary punting duties at Saint John’s University.

It ended with Griffin Toomey of Anchorage ranked as one of the best in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Toomey earned all-MIAC honors after averaging 37.1 yards on 41 punts with a league-best punt of 64 yards.

He led the NCAA D3 conference in punts inside the 20-yard line [14] and fair catches [19].
