2014 XC Skiing OlympiansThe Alaska Pacific University ski factory was busy at the U.S. National Championships in Utah, with the elite team winning four titles and earning 10 spots on the podium.

Oh yeah, and Kikkan Randall, Holly Brooks and Sadie Bjornsen were named to the U.S. Olympic team for next month’s Sochi Games in Russia.

The rest of the team will be announced one week from today and there’s a chance more APU skiers will be named.

Randall, of East High fame, will be making her fourth appearance at the Olympics. She is flying high right now after capturing her 10th career World Cup victory over the weekend.

She’s also appearing on TV commercials thanks to an endorsement deal with Kashi natural foods. Alaska athletes are almost never the featured centerpiece of a national ad campaign.

Other APU skiers to reach the winner’s circle included Erick Bjornsen, Becca Rorabaugh, Reese Hanneman and Rosie Brennan.
